Recombinant DNA Technology
Abstract
Recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology is a revolutionary approach that enables the manipulation and recombination of DNA molecules to create new genetic combinations. This technology has transformed the fields of molecular biology, medicine, agriculture, and industrial biotechnology by allowing scientists to alter the genetic makeup of organisms for specific purposes. Through the insertion of desired genes into host organisms, recombinant DNA technology has paved the way for producing novel proteins, studying gene functions, and developing solutions to global challenges such as food security, disease treatment, and environmental sustainability.
