Abstract

Today, it is in the tendency for maintenance administrative expenses to increase rapidly, because infrastructure is getting too old for use. So introduction of asset management technology serves effectively as pressing need. Repairing to suitable timing is important, carrying out the monitoring of the deterioration of soundness of structure for that purpose. But in order that much uncertainty may follow on prediction, the making-decisions method is still in the research way. In this research, focusing on a type of civil engineering structure that involves a particularly considerable number of uncertainties than others, namely tunnels, this study aims to develop basic components of a tunnel asset management system. It proposes a methodology of developing a model for quantitatively predicting the deterioration of actual performance based on tunnel lining inspection results and determining the repair timing, priorities and other factors by means of stochastic Poisson process.
