Designing and evaluating a research-based teaching-learning sequence on the moment of force
Abstract
This paper describes a study into the design, development and evaluation of a research-based teaching-learning sequence on the moment of force at the physiotherapy training. The study includes two pilot studies and two teaching experiments with teachers who were not involved in the design of the teaching-learning sequence. During the eight teaching lessons, physiotherapy students studied in groups doing some experimental work and solving practical problems dealing with applications of the moment of force in physiotherapy. The teaching-learning sequence was then developed and evaluated by using the model of educational reconstruction. During evaluation of the sequence the types of teacher talk will also be analysed.
