Abstract

This paper presents a technique for modal parameters estimation for structural health monitoring systems. Modal mass, stiffness, damping and mode shapes are determined for a rectangular steel plate through experimentally determined acceleration data. The theoretical modal parameters are obtained by FEM approach. The influence of the additional mass on modal parameters is discussed.
