Abstract
Conceptually, short-cutting the P-cycle in urban ecosystems is feasible, in accordance with the Bellagio principles of environmental sanitation, sustainable city and sustainable agriculture concepts at household and neighbourhood scale, with potential social, economic and environmental benefits.
