Abstract

In this paper, we introduce several small steel buildings used by thin steel plate walls. At the structural design we modeled shear wall as tensional brace. To avoid thermal deformation, shear walls were made from a minimum amount of the welding. We studied the strength of shear plate supported only four corner by numerical analysis, which includes buckling strength, and post-buckling strength. As result, the thin steel plate welded in discontinuity is useful for seismic resistant wall.
