Seismic response of steel frame/panel shear walls: Modelling based on screw connection tests
Abstract
An analytical approach providing reliable evaluation of the pushover response curve is a useful tool when the nonlinear static procedure is selected for study the seismic behaviour of a structure. In this paper a method that consents to predict the nonlinear shear vs. top wall displacement relationship for steel frame/panel shear walls on the basis of screw connection test results is presented. From comparison with available wall test results the method seems to give suitable predictions.
