Syntheses and Conclusions
Abstract
The livelihood of the local people in the Makanya catchment is determined for a large part by the occurrence and availability of water, which varies strongly over the catchment. Understanding the hydrological processes in an ungauged catchment requires a multi-method approach, which is described in Chapters 3 - 6 . The human response and adaptation to the local climate and upstream users is presented in Chapter 7 .
