Abstract
With the progress of Taiwan&s;s information technology and requirements of expenditure reporting by the Taiwan Bureau of National Health Insurance, almost all traditional ways of medical orders communications by most healthcare providers, are replaced by electronic prescribing or Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) systems. CPOE systems can enhance efficiency and quality of medical care; however, because of varying quality of system interface and human-computer interaction designs, CPOE systems may also induces new problems including medical errors leading to patients’ injury or death, and bringing about users’ low satisfaction and acceptance.
