Risk management in intensive care units: Implementation of the best practices in prevention of clinical risk
Abstract
Risk management always evokes, among the staff, a feeling of discomfort. The clinical risk is associated with the concept of error, seen as an indication of personal discredit and certainly an obstacle to relief activities. This very restrictive view of the problem is fundamentally linked to a lack of culture that the system of prevention has and to an individualistic and punitive vision of the error.
