Abstract

The effective management of systems development projects is an elusive goal for all systems development professionals. The industry has a poor track record in bringing projects in on schedule, within budget, and with full performance characteristics and capabilities. Many factors contribute to the success or failure of a systems development project. A systems development project is often a complex interplay of project management tools, systems development methodology, and CASE tools.
