Abstract
Once an is Department has Established a Software Development Process , it must quantitatively determine the parameters associated with that process and its products. A quantitative approach allows the organization to compare its performance with that of its competitors. Weaknesses and areas requiring management’s attention are highlighted, and benchmarks are established to measure the organization’s future improve rent. These quantitative measurements are performed using software metrics.
