Abstract
The Information Technology (IT) outsourcing strategy is usually associated with the contracting out of an organization’s entire Information Services (IS) function to an external service provider. There area number of organizations that are not outsourcing the whole IT function, but only those functions considered to be not “core” competencies. System development is a function often considered to be non-core and therefore out-sourced.
