Abstract

The effects of satellite communications and worldwide Internet use in the business world are among the driving forces in today’s software community. The pressure is on to beat the leading technological standards currently available. These pressures come into the world of software development from three distinct areas: business and industry demands, product quality, and world market competition. Each of these areas raises its own issues relative to testing. The result is that software developers and system integrators must alter their view of the work effort to ensure a more thorough and complete testing.
