Abstract

Three distinct but related phenomena have created the need for cost-effective and environmentally sound processes to decontaminate soil polluted with oil: (1) the legal mandate to remediate sites; (2) the progressive leakage of underground tanks; and (3) the continuing occurrence of oil spills. Taken together, these three conditions constitute a worthwhile and lucrative market for industrialists, and much progress has been made over the past several years. At Brox Industries, we’ve devoted considerable resources to understanding and improving performance in this emerging industry.
