Integrated Coastal Zone Management and Environmental Impact Assessment
Abstract
This chapter first presents a discussion of ICZM that covers decision-making in ICZM and important elements of the integration process in ICZM, involving environmental information and stakeholder participation (section 2.2). Then the linkage between ICZM and EIA is discussed, and a conceptual approach to the use of environmental information and stakeholder participation in EIA is presented (section 2.3). Finally an effective coastal EIA to improve ICZM is proposed for this thesis (section 2.4).
