Iczm And Eia In Indonesia
Abstract
This chapter presents a description and analysis of management problems in Indonesia. First, Indonesian coastal planning system, laws and regulations and position and role of government will be discussed (section 3.2). Then coastal management problems in ICZM and in the Indonesian EIA system will be discussed (section 3.3). Furthermore, changes in policies and roles of district government will be discussed (section 3.4). Finally, in order to have more focus on problems, preliminary research in the Banten Bay area, involving the approval procedure and its implementation in two study cases, will be analysed (section 3.5).
