Abstract

The wide bandgap semiconductor A1N possesses a number of interesting properties that can find applications in various areas of electronics. They are: a large bandgap, the piezoelectric effect, high resistivity and insulating characteristics and an appreciable thermoconduc-tivity. As a result both growth of A1N films by different methods and studies of their properties have been carried out for an appreciable length of time.
