Control Applications of AC Motors
Abstract
For control applications mostly DC motors have been used (except the 2-phase servo motors with output below about 100W). However, with the advances in control technology, the stable, brush-maintenance free AC motors are now capable of carrying out similar control functions as the DC motors and can be used for this purpose.
