Abstract
a. PM type stepping motors As explained in section 8.1.1 , there are two types of construction for PM-type stepping motors. One of them is Fig. 8.2 . This is excellent for mass production and here the cores for the magnetic circuit are folded over with presses. The shape of these is shown in Fig. 9.1(a) . Since this part passes the flux from the stator winding and plays the role of forming the magnetic pole, its characteristics are influenced by the material selection and process accuracy.
