All-Optical Materials and Devices
Abstract
All-optical devices are based on the principle that a nonlinear-optical material will mediate the interaction between two or more beams of light. Consequently, such materials can be used to control, or switch, one beam of light with another and would form the building blocks of optical logic, optical switching, and optical computing systems.
