Abstract

In this chapter, the rub-impact events of a rigid constrained rotor system with a disk geometrically eccentric from the casing and a flexible shaft are investigated. A rub-impact rotor model is presented by means of the Hamilton’s variational principle, the Galerkin’s procedure and the collision assumption. With the construction of a localized Poincaré map on the constraint surface, some numerical simulation under certain parametric conditions is achieved. The effects of some parameters on the dynamic behavior of rub-impact are analyzed. The bifurcation routes to chaos in rub-impact dynamics are also discussed.
