Abstract

In many cases rotor systems have slowly changing parameters, which give them some different dynamic characteristics, which contrast with those with stable parameters. In this chapter the authors raise the method of piece-wise calculation for analyzing slowly changing systems. Two typical rotor systems with slowly changing parameters (a rotor system with changing supporting stiffness and a cracked rotor system) are studied. Some valuable results based on theoretical analysis together with corresponding experiments are obtained.
