Abstract

The principal aim of this chapter is to introduce principles and hypotheses concerning the remediation of children and adolescents with brain impairment. These principles and hypotheses are presented within the context of the developmental neuropsychological remediation/habilitation model outlined in Chapter 1 . Although the pivotal significance of the child’s neuropsychological ability structure is emphasized in this model, other very important variables, including the demands of the child’s environment and the resources available for remediation, are also highlighted.
