Driving Dynamics for Hybrid Electric Vehicles Considering Handling and Control Architecture
Abstract
The use of hybrid techniques together with the increasing demands on vehicle performance require an improved vehicle architecture to be feasible in the long run. In this paper, a generic control architecture is suggested and especially the information flow-between driver’s intentions to vehicle motion is discussed. The idea is that the driver’s intentions are transformed to a global force equivalent. Then, a practical approach is utilised to solve the control allocation problem of distributing the global forces to local wheel unit forces. A strategy to find wheel angles and wheel spin from desired wheel forces has been suggested and implemented.
