Centrifugal modeling of soil-structure interaction
Abstract
The experimental program described in this paper was initiated for the purpose of gaining an understanding of the response of a horizontal shelter buried in soil. In order to verify the validity of these calculations, the experiment was conducted to measure the moduli of subgrade reaction to be compared with the values calculated from the analytical solutions and the values calculated from the analytical formulae and conventional triaxial testing results.
