Using hybrid shell element for the non-linear analysis of shell structures
Abstract
In this paper, the non-linear analysis of shell and three dimensional panel structure by using the higher order finite element of hybrid model C 6—7D is presented. The higher order shell element is proposed to be divided into some subregions to calculate the non-equilibrium nodal forces. So that, the advantage of the higher order element in the non-linear analysis is full obtained. This method can be used for the elastic-plastic analysis of ductile-material structures or the failure analysis of brittle material structures. In the numerical analysis, the initial stress iterational method is applied to get a good accuracy.
