Non-linear analysis for shear wall system supported by frames
Abstract
It is important that the high building is analyzed by the nonlinear method when earthquake is involved. Nonlinear problem of the shear wall supported by frame is discussed in this paper by the use of finite element method. Using the variational principe of the energy functional, we obtain finite element method formulation of the nonlinear plane problem. The constitutive equations are also given by the nonlinear mode of the stress-strain relationship. In the end of this paper, the example of the shear wall supported by frame is calculated.
