A new type of concrete face rockfill dams on deep deposits
Abstract
A nonlinear increment finite element method has successfully been used in feasibility study of a new type of concrete face fockfill dam (CFRD) founded on deep deposits. The results show FEM is a major design tool now to deal with complicated geotechnique and earth-rockfill dam problems like a CFRD on thick deposits.
