Structural optimal design by displaying the reliability constraints
Abstract
An approach of structural optimal design by displaying the reliability constraints is proposed. Through the Normal tail transformation the various non-Normal random loads actting upon structure are equivalent to the Normal type, and then by using the invariance that the linear elastic structures respond to the Normal load, the reliability constraints of displacement and stress are equivalently treated as conventional forms. Finaly the problem is solved with the mixed method of structural optimization.
