Incremental harmonic balance method with time transformation for nonlinear vibrations
Abstract
There are nonlinear vibrations, which inherently contain a large number of higher order harmonic components. This paper describes how the analysis of these types of vibrations can be coped with by generalizing the IHB method to incorporate time transformations. When associated with an optimization procedure, the IHB method is able to give very accurate solutions for these types of vibration with many fewer harmonic terms.
