Resolved formulation of three-dimensional element tangent stiffness matrix and application in analysis of cable-stayed bridge
Abstract
The nonlinear tangent stiffness matrix including small, large displacement and initial stress stiffness matrices for three-dimensional element are derived based on the nonlinear geometric equation and variational principle . And the large displacement and initial stress matrices are divided into four and twelve submatrices respectively which have definite senses in mathematics . A numerical procedure in which these matrices are used is programmed .
