Abstract

This article expounds that the substantial benefits can be gained by introducing the achievements in computational mechanics into hydro—structure analyses. Futher, it describes the inevitable difficulties encountered in the introduction. Summarized from author’s practical work over the years, proper methods are recommended to apply computational mechanics more effective in engineering practice. Several examples of application are also presented.
