The coupling numerical methods for underground engineering
Abstract
In this paper the mechanical and numerical models have been established, the three-dimensional non-linear coupling numerical calculation program of finite element and boundary element, of finite element and infinite element have been studied and presented, they are especially appropriate for analysis of displacement, stress, yield zone and stability of surrounding rock mass of caverns. Secondly, the correctness of the programs has been proved by some typical examples. Finally, the program has been applied to three-dimensional non-linear finite element analysis for large underground caverns, the results are consistent with that of prototype test. As a result of effectiveness of the program the calculating results are reasonable, the CPU time, the input data can be saved and boundary conditions can be treated more exactly.
