Prediction for field stress and stability of underground caverns
Abstract
On the basis of measured stress and displacements of six profiles along the periphery of caverns which was excavated in the first step, the field stress was determined. FEM analysis for the critical cross—section of power house were carried out, the key excavation block and other factors which have significant influence upon the stability were pointed out.
