Design criteria for asphalt and concrete pavement in unlined tunnels
Abstract
The paper deals with dimensioning criteria for pavement lining in generally unlined tunnels. Pulsating forces set up by the roughness elements are described as dimensioning lifting forces in mild sloping tunnels. In steeper tunnels the pore pressure comming up during emptying the tunnels may be dimensioning for the lining.
