Long term stability in Norwegian hydro tunnels
Abstract
The paper presents the results of a five year project on stability inspections of hydropower tunnels in Norway. Observed block falls and other stability problems are described by frequency, volume and reason. A model for calculation of costs related to block falls are given. Finally, guidelines for rock support of hydropower tunnels are suggested.
