Abstract

The effects of shotcrete and rock bolting support on the power house of Lubuge Hydropower Station are studied in this paper by model tests and FEM calculation. The results indicate that the support has sign nificant effects on improving working condition, raising load-bearing capacity and increasing overall stiffness of surrounding rock. When the support is utilized the failure load of model will be increased by about 50% and the maximum absolute displacement of power house will be decreased by about 20%.
