Abstract

Hydroelectric production plays a very important role in Brazil owing to its great potential. This works presents the experience of CEMIG in the feasibility and river basin studies of hydroelectric plants for future expansion of its generating system. Emphasis is given to the methodological aspects and the problems found in the application of the Brazilian methodology.
