Abstract

Water is the main and most important thing for human life, but the problem men are facing is that water is not always available every time and in every place. In the rainy season we have plenty and excess of water, but in the dry season we have shortage of water. Construction of dam and reservoirs will help to harness the water flow to the ocean during rainy season and providing water store to the people to be used during dry season, or in an other word giving people a better water resource management possibility. In this paper a comparison between the negative and positive impact of dam and reservoir construction and forest in line with the green policy will be discribed and tabulated which leading to the conclusion that people should not hesitate to construct big dams and reservoirs, even they have to sacrifice land or forest for the inundated area for the reservoirs.
