Overtopping of the morain core rockfill dam, state of flow and permeability
Abstract
The paper deals with hydraulic flow problems coming up if the morain core in rockfill dams is overtopped. The state of flow, being laminar, turbulent as in a transition state is discussed. Discharge calculation methods are presented and like wise permeability tests with the intention of relating permeability coeffi-sients to the grading curve of the fill.
