Introduction to multi-orifice discharge conduits in Xiaolangdi Project
Abstract
As an energy dissipater, the orifice plate has never been used in any large scale hydraulic project over the world . China is now proposing to adopt this measure in Xiaolangdi Project on the Yellow River . In this paper are introduced the research work accomplished in China on the hydraulics concerning the energy dissipation of orifice plate and the layout of the middle gate chamber appropriate to orifice plate dissipaters.
