Abstract

PLATE OF A SYNTHETIC SEISMOGRAM A line graph displays seismic data with multiple lines representing attenuation and reflection coefficients over a distance. The x-axis ranges from 0.0 to 1.2, while the y-axis on left ranges from 0.0 to 1.0 for reflection coefficient and y-axis on the right ranges from 0 to 6000 for attenuation coefficient. The top section shows a single line graph with fluctuations, indicating changes in the reflection coefficient. The bottom section features multiple line graphs, each representing different seismic traces with varying amplitudes and frequencies. The data points and values are approximated. https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href=" https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003761020/e10523ab-dbe3-4c4f-8f3e-863ae3683950/content/pg299_1.tif "/>
