Abstract

(ACTIVE METHODS used in mineral exploration in DIRECT PROSPECTING and STRUCTURE PROSPECTING and -sometimes- in oil exploration in STRUCTURE PROSPECTING). A diagram illustrates a geophysical exploration setup. It features a rectangular area with labeled points A, M, O, N, and B. At point A, there is a positive charge labeled G connected to a component labeled A. An arrow indicates the direction of current flow from A to B. Within the rectangular area, there is a smaller rectangle with a component labeled V. The diagram shows the flow of current through the setup, indicating the use of geophysical methods such as gravimetry, electromagnetics, and seismic reflection. https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href=" https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003761020/e10523ab-dbe3-4c4f-8f3e-863ae3683950/content/pg315_1.tif "/>
