Emission - Input Technique, 5
Abstract
SOSIE having been put into use for MARINE SEISMIC ; it profited from the rapid rhythm of shooting which was permitted by the immersed source. The utilisation on land was difficult (it required holes full of water and a heavy compressor). The conversion to land of the principle used in SOSIE required the use of surface sources which could give a rapid rhythm. As this rhythm is, in every way, inferior to that obtained at sea with SOSIE, the CODE is therefore different.
