Abstract

The rheological properties of clayey soils always play an important role in the interaction between the soil and the structures and geological environment. This is true in equal measure for creep, relaxation and variation of soil strength in time, i.e., the processes that have a significant effect on the nature of the stress-strain state in a clayey soil mass and the changes that occur in it in time and space, thereby determining the service conditions and stability of the structures.
