Fundamentals of the Modern Concepts of Magma
Abstract
Alpine peridotites are very often found in the form of steeply dipping layers and lenses and can be traced along their strike for many kilometres. However, rocks of this series are mostly found in the form of narrow plates and their length varies from a few tens of metres to a few kilometres. These plates and lenses are grouped in systems consisting of tens or hundreds of bodies occurring subparallelly and elongated along curved or undulating ultrabasite belts.
