Differentiation of the Upper Mantle
Abstract
The cardinal problem of geology is the process of separation of the Earth’s shell into mineral fractions. This is the process that essentially determines all the remaining endogenetic processes. Any theory seeking to correctly explain the main facts of the geological history of the Earth must be based on the results of geological and geophysical field investigations as well as on experimental petrological data.
