Studies in Dynamic Behavior of Dams
Abstract
Studies on the dynamic behavior of dams include development of methods of dynamic analysis, understanding the dynamic behavior as observed during actual earthquake, exploration of dynamic response properties, dynamic failure properties as interpreted from the in-situ excitation tests or laboratory dynamic model tests, explanation of dynamic properties of dam materials, etc. In this chapter we briefly discuss the methods of dynamic analysis, earthquake observations and dynamic tests.
