Abstract

A discussion of groundwater contaminant migration analysis is presented. The physical and chemical processes which influence contaminant migration are described and methods for assessment of material parameters for use in analysis are discussed. A range of analytical solutions are presented and a method for development of analytical solutions employing Laplace transform techniques is presented. The application of direct numerical methods for transport analysis is discussed and some of their limitations are described.
